The next minute, it’s another sector of healthcare in dire straits, state bureaucracy gone amok, federal health policy funding illegal immigration, and politicians pulling crazy election year stunts with – what else? – healthcare freedom as the victim.

There ought to be a way to bring Michigan’s daily Thud closer to America the Beautiful. Like, you know, having healthcare freedom in real life.
Actually, there is a way.
After all, the reason we have government is to secure our freedoms. And the reason we have elections is to pull officials up short if they don’t.
Kinda hard for responsible citizens to do that without knowing what their legislators have been up to, though.

Every Michigan legislator has a score based on his or her bill votes – a permanent part of the record.
More importantly, each score allows you, the responsible citizen, to do your due diligence before you vote.
New this year!
The print report card will soon be backed by the interactive report card. This has visual graphics of vote scores and shows every bill, with explanation. (That’s taking a little more time to complete.)
However, the printed report cards are already flying out the door.
So far they’ve hit 12 Michigan counties.
