A volunteer and I slipped into Lansing between snow storms on Thursday, December 11 to present Defender Certificates of Nomination and the MHF Defender Award to the 2025 winner. This is our second annual award to celebrate legislators who defend our healthcare freedoms.
Around the Capitol Building, street parking was wide open despite high snowbanks.
The senate session for the day was cancelled.
The city was quiet under grey skies.
It was a perfect day to throw a quick celebration of healthcare freedom in Michigan’s capitol – so we did!
Celebrating Jamie Thompson, 2025 winner of the MHF Defender Award

Rep. Thompson was delighted with the award, and the conversation rapidly turned to health policy. We could have talked for hours!
The MHF Certificate of Nomination documents Rep. Thompson’s service to healthcare freedom.

This is Michigan Healthcare Freedom’s second year celebrating legislators who defend our healthcare freedoms.

“My proudest accomplishment is standing up for Healthcare Freedom,” Rep. Thompson stated. She pledged to always stand up for healthcare freedom in her subsequent post on social media.

Next, we delivered the other 2025 Defender Certificates to current office-holders. Read more about their nominations.

We weren’t the only advocates in town, but I can say MHF is the only one advocating for constitutional freedom.
