Fight at Auburn Hills hospital involves several juvenile patients, police say

Detroit Free PressA fight involving several juvenile patients at the HavenWyck Hospital in Auburn Hills was broken up on Saturday, Nov. 15, Auburn Hills Police Department officials confirmed to the Free Press Monday afternoon.
Deputy Chief of Police Scott McGraw said the officers were dispatched to the area of the hospital housing juveniles, located at 1525 University Drive, at around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
"We were able to separate the groups and calm everyone down with the help of staff," McGraw said.
No one was injured during the incident, although some property was damaged, officials say. There were no arrests, police said
McGraw said he is not sure what caused the fight, but said charges will most likely not be sought from prosecutors.
The Havenwyck Hospital had no immediate comment on the incident.
Havenwyck Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to adult, children and adolescent patients.
