Come September, we see Round 2 for the PT and OT compact bills, plus a few more.

Wednesday, September 3, 2025      12:30 p.m.

AGENDA

HB 4101 Rep. Bierlein Health occupations: physical therapists; physical therapy licensure compact; enact.

SB 501 Sen. Santana Health occupations: physical therapists; licensing process; modify to incorporate physical therapy licensing compact.

SB 413 Sen. Wojno Health occupations: psychologists; requirements for practice by limited licensed psychologist; modify.

HB 4207 Rep. Harris Insurance: health benefits; excluding federal excepted benefits from a health insurance policy; provide for.

HB 4208 Rep. Carter Insurance: health benefits; exclusion of federal excepted benefits from a health insurance policy; provide for.

And any other business properly before the committee.

By way of clarification for the two health benefit bills, according to House Fiscal Agency analysis, "The bills are identical to House Bills 4732 and 4733 of the 2023-24 legislative session as those bills were passed by the House of Representatives. According to committee testimony, the bills would make technical changes to align the Insurance Code with federal law to eliminate ambiguity in the difference between major medical insurance and supplemental insurance." - in light of HIPAA and the ACA.

Good luck with that.

Eye drops were previously heard in the MI House.

New incentive for organ donation. I red-flagged organ donation in 2023, and horror stories continue to make news today.
