By Corinne Moore - April 26, 2024

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — The Ottawa County deputy health officer is retiring at the end of May, the county’s department of public health announced on Friday.

Deputy Health Officer Marcia Mansaray will be retiring on May 31. The county said that the current health planning and promotion manager, Lisa Uganski, will succeed her beginning June 3.

Mansaray has been the deputy health officer since 2020 and started with the department in 2006 as a health promotion specialist.

“Marcia has served her community with a unique blend of wisdom, empathy and grace that I have especially appreciated over the past year. I will miss her partnership and counsel,” Health Officer Adeline Hambley said in a release. “I’m excited for Lisa to step into this role. Her knowledge, expertise and passion for serving the community will serve OCDPH well moving forward.”
