Topic starter

First on the agenda, HB 6046, begs three four five questions.

  1. Why is community violence (aka urban lawlessness) being funded as healthcare?
  2. Are these funds state or federal? And if federal, would these be funds from HUD, HHS, DOL, DOJ, or DoE?
The Biden White House announced community violence funding from all of them earlier this year.
  3. How are these funds anything but Democratic handouts funneled to their (hoped-for) base?
  4. Given plans from Trump, DOGE, and Congress, does anyone believe this funding source is stable?
  5. Does anyone believe it's good for communities to start big-promise programs without a long-term plan?
