House Regulatory Reform Committee

This committee often hears licensing bills, and occasionally other bills related to healthcare. These laws set the legal requirements to work in healthcare.

House Labor Committee

This committee hears bills about hourse,wages, payroll, unions, and other employment practices.
Some of these bills include healthcare long with other types of work, some relate specifically to healthcare, others not at all. 
We may try putting up full agendas and marking health-related bills with Bold font.

Knowing bills ahead of their first hearing allows the best opportunity to understand what's behind it and to make a difference. Bill Search
Committees post their bill agendas at least three days before a hearing. Bills must then pass committee before a vote of the House. Normal procedure (two hearings a week or more apart) allows time for public input for a better final law.
