Texas lawmakers meet for only two weeks every two years, but when they're in, they are focused. And it seems the committee chairs rule hearings with a rod of iron.
Importantly, having part-time legislators does NOT mean Texas has fewer healthcare laws, fewer regulations, less government overreach, or less self-serving industry. These, unfortunately, are universal to state governments and healthcare everywhere.
As witness the unfiltered testimony in this week's eight (8) hour health policy committee hearing.
