Topic starter

Licensing is how the state controls clinicians. In this case, it's how the state controls mental health care.

Thursday, November 9, 2023
TIME: 9:00 AM
PLACE: Room 519, House Office Building, Lansing, MI

AGENDA:

HB 5184 (Rep. Brabec) Health occupations; social workers; social work licensure requirements; modify, and include licensure for licensed clinical social workers.

HB 5185 (Rep. Edwards) Health occupations; social workers; social work licensure requirements; modify, and include licensure for licensed clinical social workers.

OR ANY BUSINESS PROPERLY BEFORE THIS COMMITTEE

To view text of legislation go to: http://www.legislature.mi.gov

So: do these bills increase or decrease state control?

Do they increase or decrease social workers' time with clients?

That's the measure of access for those who need services.
